How to cure Vaginal Yeast InfectionIt is a fact that most women will experience a yeast infection several times during their lifetime. It is caused by an overgrowth of the natural yeast that are always present in the vagina, resulting in itching, burning, discharge and a yeasty odour.

What causes vaginal yeast infection? It can often be a result of an imbalance in the vaginal pH as a result of diet, menstrual changes or sexual intercourse. The cause can often be a mystery, with more emphasis being placed on how to cure a vaginal yeast infection than determining the cause.

The problem can be attacked in either one of two ways, the first being the use of over-the-counter treatments. These generally take the form of a cream or a vaginal suppository. Using these a cure should be achieved within three to seven days.

The second way is to attack the problem naturally. Two widely used treatments in curing a vaginal yeast infection are garlic and yoghurt. Either can inserted into the vagina or consumed orally, but insertion is the best treatment. Yoghurt can be inserted using a syringe or the finger. A popular way to carry out the insertion is to freeze the yoghurt in the finger of a latex glove first, then insert it once it is frozen solid. Garlic can be inserted directly or a sachet can be made up by enclosing cloves of garlic in cheesecloth.

Similarly to the treatment for a male, vinegar can also be used, a natural apple cider vinegar being the best choice. You could also take a vinegar water bath.
